In my mind, a dictation session creates a kind of force field;
the magnetic field of suspended tension that forms around its participants and also the direct line of focus that it causes to occur- a line of conveyance between the dictator and transcribers/subjects, that makes them into one unit.
The event was staged as a Dictation session in the tropical forest. Among the sounds of insects and birds, participants transcribed a text about the forest undergrowth and nature in Singapore by hand.
The heavy forest sounds made a counterpoint to the dictation.
